The problem
Y Combinator's Summer 2026 Request for Startups asked for a "Company Brain": a system that pulls knowledge out of fragmented sources, structures it, keeps it current, and turns it into an executable skills file for AI.
That's exactly what we're building. But the "fragmented sources" part is bigger than most existing AI tools acknowledge.
Most "upload your PDFs" tools capture maybe 10% of a company's real knowledge. The rest lives in calls, chat threads, meeting notes, web bookmarks, and CRM events. MemoryFirst processes all five surfaces.
What makes it defensible
- Five surfaces, one memory: voice, chat, docs, web, ops. Same query reaches all of them.
- Verifiable citations: every answer carries the exact location of the source: the document page, the audio minute, the specific chat message.
- Open to every AI: MCP and OpenAI-compatible. Plug into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, custom agents.
- Multi-client, multi-region: row-level security per workspace. EU live, US and APAC on roadmap.
What's next
We're onboarding design partners in three verticals: law firms, clinics (medical, dental, aesthetic), and agencies/studios.
